The Hodges University is a nonprofit institute of higher education which is founded in 1990. This university was awarded bachelors and masters degrees to the students in Naples, Florida in its early years.
History
International College is the former name which used for Hodges University and it was a private university for higher education.
The International College name was changed as Hodge University in 2007 as an honor of its main benefactors. In 1992 the Fort Myers Campus was opened. The Hodges University has to accredit with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges in order to award the degrees.
University
The Hodge University provides 11 associated degree programs, 19 bachelor degree programs and nine master’s degree program for its students who have the flexibility to schedule their classes in any time of the day or via virtual classroom while maintain the fulltime jobs and family responsibilities.
From 1990 the Hodges University has awarded more than 9200 degrees. Today the Hodges University has undergraduate enrolment of 1678 of students from which 37 percent are male students 63% are female students. Furthermore the above mentioned degree programs, the Hodge University provides comprehensive English program who wants to fluent in English.
From that they are able to enhance the knowledge and practice of English in English Speaking Culture since there are students from more 25 different countries. To provide the services to southwest Florida Community the Hodges University started to operate lots of centers and institutes for educational opportunities. The library of Hodges university divided in to two branches and those are operates in Naples and Fort Myers Campuses.
This library delivers 24 study rooms to its staff, students and alumni where they can reserve it for group projects as well. From 2003 this library participating for Federal Depository Library Program and became one of the Federal Depository library in Southwest Florida. Since today's students are busy with their career and families the Hodge University decided to propose the degree programs entirely online where they can access through internet and can attend to the cybernetic classroom in their flexible time.
Recorded lectures, real time conferencing, instant massages and virtual instructions are the other facilities provided though the online classes in Hodges University Learning Management system.
Other Information
Non remedial tutoring, placement service, health service and health insurance are the student services which is provided by the Hodges University.
Also they offer the campus safely and security through 24/7 foot and vehicle patrol and emergency telephone and controlled dormitory access. The students can park their cars at university premises since 99% of Hodge University student have cars. Alcohol is not permitted in Hodge University premises.
